BODYARMOR Natural Sports Drinks: A Big Win with our Travel Ballers

We were provided free BODYARMOR to sample in order to write this review. All of the links in this post containAttachment-1 (2) BODYARMOR coupons.

On any given day, I have between 11 and 16 empty or nearly empty water, Gatorade or Powerade bottles rolling around in the back foot of my car. (Or would be it back feet, since they’re everywhere.) I’m sure your vehicle has its own collection of empties clunking against each other every time you turn a corner. Hydration is vital to our ballplayers. Cleaning out the car…not so much.

Through the years I’ve overheard some pretty heated dugout debates over what’s better: Gatorade or Powerade. No matter what side of the fence you’re on, sports drinks are pretty darn important! They replace electrolytes and provide vitamins that water can’t.

bodyarmor drinkA new contender enters the ring! A couple of weeks ago, my friend Liz mentioned that her son can’t get enough of these new (or new to me) BODYARMOR natural sports drinks. They come in seven delicious flavors and are full of potassium packed electrolytes. Plus they don’t contain any of the bad-for-you, artificial ingredients, like sodium, that other sports drinks have. Liz says the coconut water is like “liquid gold.” It’s so good.

Given my friend’s glowing endorsement, I was excited to have my boys try them (and maybe steal a sip myself). The good folks at BODYARMOR happily obliged to send us enough for both our kids’ teams, the 10u Southside Kryptonite and 14u Rattlers.

When the Rattler boys were done chugging the BODYARMOR, they threw their empty bottles into the foot of my car and asked for seconds. I had to break the news that there were none left. Several demanded to know where they could get them. (Scroll down for retailers.)

An argument broke out between two infielders over which flavor tasted better: orange mango or strawberry banana. They finally agreed to disagree.20150920_151818

Meanwhile, 100+ miles away, 10U Kryptonite Team Mom, Christine was getting all kinds of approval from the younger players. They all agreed that BODYARMOR is good stuff!

The only potential negative I found with our new favorite drink is that it’s a little more pricy than the “ades.” On Amazon.com, a 12-pack costs $27. There are plenty of coupons, though. That’s a good thing.

I work for DPSG the company who distribute the BodyArmor product and let me tell you that, like most people have said they never heard or tried, this product is amazing. As soon as I tried it I knew from the spot my young one was going to like it. Sure enough he fell in love with it. He got attached to the strawberry banana one, as to I got attached to the new flavor Blackout Berry. But ll other flavors also have great taste to it. Like the fruit punch of course and the mixed berry or tropical punch. But overall they will become a grate product over the years. Yes they might be a little more expensive then powerade and gatorade but this product will be way more healthier then them. I truly recommend them.

Thank you for this review. I’ve never heard of Body Armor sports drink before, and am anxious to do so. My son plays on an 11u travel team which I help coach. I am also the “GM” of our travel ball organization, Ballistic Baseball, LLC which includes a 9u, 10u and 11u team. I am constantly buying waters and various sports drinks to keep in the team cooler. I’ve noticed recently the boys are fighting over certain flavors or want something other than water and the same ol’ sports drink. After reading your post, it looks like I’ve found something different.
However, I’m not one to go out and drop loads of money (which I don’t have), on something I’m unfamiliar with or know my boys will like. In your post, you said that Body Armor sent you a supply for 2 of your teams. I was hoping you could tell me who in the company you contacted to work that out. I found the contact link on their site, but am not sure if I should contact PR, Sales, Marketing or someone else. Any information you could share would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
