10 Resources for Bringing Church to the Ball Field

As much as I love baseball, and am proud to be a baseball mom, I have to be honest and admit that travel ball hasn’t been the greatest thing for our church life. Thanks to nine months of tournaments, we’ve had to get creative and disciplined about making time for the Word of God. We may not be sitting in the sanctuary as much as we should on Sunday mornings, but we are feeding our spirits through group devotions, scripture reading and prayer. I find that team prayer is a very powerful thing.

If you’re struggling to balance travel ball and getting your kids to church regularly, here are a few websites and books that will help bridge the gap. They can be followed as a family or as a team.

If you’ve been wanting to start a Sunday morning devotion time with your team, but aren’t sure how to get started, any of the links below will provide inspiring lessons and meditations for your players and parents.
